"Man & Woman in Christ"

Love or Respect? Submission or Mutual Submission? Tolerant or intolerant? Married or not? There are so many questions surrounding sexuality and relationshps. Pastor Estes' new Bible Study, "Man & Woman in Christ" begins Sunday Nov. 1st, at 9:00 A.M. in the Conference Room. This study will cover numerous topics regarding human sexuality, including marriage, parenting, living single, divorce, the ordination of women, and much more. We hope to see you there.

- Vera will be presenting on the life and work of
Katie Luther
- Martin Luther's wife. He called Katie, "My Rib". Learn about the vital role she played in history. Please bring a brunch style dish to share. We will meet at
10am in the Fellowship Hall

Friday, November 13th
German Meal
- Our Annual feast in the German tradition with choice of bratwurst or schnitzel, plus sides and dessert. A kiddee option is available too! We'll have great food, arts and crafts on display and for sale, plus German music and a lot of fun! The dinner will run from 5:30 to 7:30pm. See Janet for tickets.

SMORES-
Moms of Redeemer - we will be meeting for a recipe exchange and beaded bracelet making. Join us in the
Preschool Classroom at 9:30 am
. Open to all Moms in the community with children high school age and younger.

Saturday Easter Vigil: 8:30PM @ Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Easter Sunrise: 7:00 AM Outdoor Chapel (Weather Permitting)
Easter Service: 10:15 AM
Easter Breakfast will be served between Sunrise and 10:15 services. Bring flowers for the "Flowering of the Cross" held in the sanctury during Sunday School hour 9:00-10:00.

Viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday January 14th at Striffler-Hamby
Wednesday Service is Cancelled for just this Wednesday so members may attend the viewing and give their support to the family.
At this time Choir Practice
has not
been cancelled.
The Funeral Service will be on Thursday January 15th at 2:00 PM at the Church.
The graveside service will follow the funeral at Park Hill Cemetery
There will be a wake/reception afterwards at the fellowship hall of the church at approximately 4:30 PM.
Men of Redeemer - Bowling

The Men of Redeemer will be meeting this Friday 1/9 at the Church between 6:30 & 7:00 to go bowling at Peachtree Lanes. You don't have to play well! Just come to enjoy some fellowship and fun.
Joint New Year's Eve Service at Bethlehem Lutheran

We will be celebrating the Naming of Christ Service on New Year's Eve at 6:30 PM with a joint service at Bethlehem Lutheran. Bethlehem is located at 621 17th Ave

Outdoor Chapel Rededication
November 17, 2008
Our outdoor chapel has been restored and there will be a short rededication after our worship on November 30th.
Thanksgiving Collection
November 04, 2008
Canned and dry goods will be collected on November 26th during our Thanksgiving worship. Donations will be used to help some families of Redeemer over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Additional donations over their needs will be given to one of our local charities such as Second Harvest.

Summer Sunday School is here

The Adult Bible Study is covering a series on Apologetics, or defense of our faith. Every Christian should know why he or she believes what they believe and how to explain it to others. Pastor Estes leads this class in the Conference Room at 9:00am.
Sunday School classes for kids will meet in the large room in the lower building. We will be doing some fun activities while learning about the Bible, mission work, and God's love through his Son, Jesus.
